Enfield is a town centre in the London Borough of Enfield. It used to be part of the county of Middlesex but since 1965 has been part of Greater London. The last remains of this 16th century manor house were demolished in 1928, although a plaster ceiling and fireplace have been relocated to a Gentleman’s Row house, where a lot of old houses are situated. Enfield Market is another local place of interest. It was a largely successful venue in the 18th century and is still present.
